Listening to the spirit

It was so beautiful day to walk around BYU campus. Beautiful sunshine, flowers, and people. I was with the girl who I am going to get marry soon, so the weather seemed more beautiful to me. I was the happiest man in the world. However, as I walked around, I just noticed that so many people were very busy for listening to their music, taking a nap on the grass or talking on the their cell phones with other people. When I noticed these things, something just came up to my mind. “Are we trying to listen to the spirit more than listening to music or taking on the cell phone?” “When can we listen to the spirit?” I know that in our daily lives and also in our every action, listening to the sprit is the most important thing. However, when I saw the busy people, I looked back myself and I thought about how I am doing to listen to the spirit. I also thought about what I am trying to do to listen to the spirit. We are living in a busy world and we are sometimes very busy for doing what we are interested in. However, in order to listen to the spirit, we need to spend more time and put more effort to become worthy than just listening to music. Busy people gave me this lesson and helped me to think about listening to the spirit.

  1. Thanks for the insight. I agree, we need to be better at taking the time to listen to the Spirit and eliminate some distractions from our lives.

I think I can feel the same thing you felt as you walked around the campus. more important thing is attitude towards what happened to me..

  4. This was a really good post. I agree that we are all distracted with the many things that are going on around us. I plug in my ipod while driving to school. If we could ponder eternal truths just half of the time we spend listening to music, think of what we could become.
